Dominica’s programme is structured around a principal applicant, but the architecture is built for households rather than individuals. A legally married spouse may be included, subject to the same due diligence as the principal applicant. Children fall into several categories: those under eighteen; those aged eighteen to thirty enrolled in a recognised higher education institution and fully supported by the principal applicant or spouse; unmarried daughters under twenty-five who are substantially supported; and children aged eighteen or over who are physically or mentally challenged and substantially supported. Parents and grandparents aged sixty-five or over may also be included where they meet the programme’s dependency requirements. Every family member included in the application undergoes identity verification, background checks, source-of-funds review and security screening.

The dominica citizenship by investment cost reflects this tiered structure rather than a flat per-person fee. On the donation route, a main applicant with up to three dependants contributes US$250,000, with US$25,000 for each additional dependant under eighteen and US$40,000 for those eighteen and over. Due diligence is charged per person: US$7,500 for the main applicant and US$4,000 for each dependant aged sixteen or over. A UAE-oriented advisory resource such as dominicacitizenshipbyinvestment.ae typically begins family applications with a cost model that separates the contribution tier from these per-person charges.

Applying as a household is not merely a cost exercise. The CBIU frames a single coordinated application as a way to manage documentation, due diligence and processing together through an Authorised Agent, and many families treat the outcome as part of succession and legacy planning rather than as a travel document. The relevant discipline is to model the household as it will look over the next decade, not only as it appears at the point of submission.
