GDPR and IP collection

Hi.
GDPR will be enforced next month across the EU, with very strict requirements regarding the collection of personal information. The Internet Protocol addresses are now considered personal info. There's a very useful rule: don't collect any personal information if you don't need it.
My question is:
How do we stop IP recording when a user posts a comment or a review?

Hi,
The number user of jlex table alway equal or less than user of joomla. The user will be added to jlex table when they upload their avatar and have an activity on jlex review (such as post a review/comment) :).

Thanks. FYI: I installed the plugin, I clicked the 'Sync Users' button and I saved it. Then I checked the number of users in the j25_jlexreview_users table. The first time I clicked the 'Sync Users' button, the number dropped, but it was still much bigger than the number of my registered users. I had to click the 'Sync Users' button three times to make the number of users in the j25_jlexreview_users table come close to the number of users. Thanks.
