with the new version of joomla I get strange characters when installing the plugin, and when I run it the text GJ_DBS_CLICK_TO_START appears

Hi,
The issue detected from its language. Try open language file (administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.plg_system_galleryanywhere.ini) and replace all "#" by ";" character. Hope it work!
