Clash with other modules

4 years 4 months ago #305

Not sure if you can help me.
Just installed this for a client as it fits their requirements. However, when trying to set parameters using Module Manager in Joomla, am unable to save settings in any way. Have done much research and know that this 'sometimes' happens within Joomla and would be a Joomla issue. Having said that, this is the only module affected, and I have tried all the advised workarounds without success. Am now wondering if this is perhaps a conflict with another module or plugin. Do you know what may cause a conflict, what kind of plugin/module may clash with this?

The site is kingfisherdecor.com/web.

Thank you.
I have actually managed to solve this issue.

You have to list an address in the admin of the module before it will 'allow' you to save it. I wasn't at that stage yet of setting up the module, hence why I hadn't done this yet. After messing about with many other options - including replacing all admin templates with clean replacements in case was corrupt admin template - finally light dawned. I would advise perhaps making this clearer in any documentation for others, as I was actually in the middle of configuring an alternate rival product when I thought of this.

Thanks anyway.
